JIVE is an international institute comprised of six member countries: France, Latvia, the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom. Each country is represented by the following national research councils and facilities:

  • The Netherlands Institute for Radio Astronomy (ASTRON), and the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO), the Netherlands (Host)
  • Centre Nacional de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS), France
  • Ventspils Augstskola (VeA), Latvia
  • Instituto Geográfico Nacional (IGN - MITMA), Spain
  • Vetenskapsrådet (VR), Sweden
  • The Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC), UK
